What does flax leaf stand for in Japan?
In old times, flax leaf was considered to be sacred and talismanic.
When babies were born, the people back then used to make clothes with this pattern
and put them on the babies wishing their health. This pattern is consist of triangles and
one of the most beautiful geometric pattern of Japan. Still now, you can find this pattern in kimonos,
furniture and modern architecture in Japan.

// HOW TO CARE  ZABUTON //

The cotton fillings in zabutons are not washable. So it is important to air out them in the sun on a regular basis. This is because cotton can absorb moisture easily and dampened cotton becomes less fluffy.
The covers are always recommended to protect them.
