It's made out of aluminium alloy

The front ring can be dented easily

This part has previously been dented but has been skillfully repaired and now accepts a filter with No problem

Save a fortune on the genuine canon part  which are almost impossible to buy unless you risk "ally express"

Included is the front section and the UV filter

There are videos on YouTube to show how to replace the front section. It's very simple but you need the correct screwdrivers.
