I offer to Your attention Rare Soviet wristwatch RAKETA - COPERNIC (KOPERNIK, COPERNICUS), which were produced by Petrodvorzowy Watch Factory. The RAKETA “Copernic” watch was first released in the early 80s and it was not by chance that it was named after the great astronomer. The design is built around the idea of ​​Nicolaus Copernicus about the structure of the Universe, which in the 16th century made a real revolution in human consciousness - the Sun is in the center of the Solar System, and the Earth and the Moon revolve around it (and not vice versa, as previously thought). Hour and minute hands represent SUN and MOON. 

     The factory is named after the town of it's location, about 30 km of St. Petersburg. Petrodvorzowy Watch Factory was founded after the end of the Second World War in 1949 on the base of First State Factory of exact technical stones, which was founded 21.10.1721 by Peter the Great, famous Russian tsar. The factory produces only gentlemen's wrist watches.

       From 1962 all watches producing by Petrodvorzowy Watch Factory named RAKETA (it means Rocket).

      RAKETA watch, which I offer to Your attention have fine textured dial. Watch have Raketa cal.2609, is manual winding, shock resistant, stainless steel back. Watch was serviced, cleaned and oiled by professional watchmaker. The watch is keep correct time. The watch is used but still in excellent condition. The watch is fully mechanical. 

This watch is a stylish acquisition for collectors, fine present or for everyday use.
