I found this description for the guitar on a german website:The G-77 is a control bass for Roland bass synthesizers with a 24-pin connector and has a very unique design 'with handle', a fibreglass stabiliser that is intended to prevent unwanted neck vibrations. In addition to the 24-pin connector for the signal of the special single-string pickup for controlling the GR synthesiser (GR-33B or GR-77B), the bass also has a normal bass output for the sound of the two normal pickups. The G-77 can therefore also be used as a normal bass, although there is a risk of slipping when playing while seated due to its shape. In addition to the fibreglass stabiliser, the bass is made of alder and maple and was supplied in three colours: (ivory) white, red and black. The sound is controlled by a larger (plastic) control for master volume and six smaller black controls for pickup balance (between the two normal pickups), guitar tone and balance (between the normal bass and bass synthesiser), cutoff, resonance (VCF) or EDIT and for vibrato strength, and a three-stage mode switch underneath, which has different functions for the connected synthesisers. The G-77 was also available without frets as the G-77FL.
