Offering a vintage 1940s large face pendant necklace from the taxco Mexican jewelry artist Diaz Santoyo.

This is an exciting creation in mixed metals featuring copper and brass and accented with colored enamel. the face was formed of either terracotta or carved stone.

The necklace is in an amulet style with the huge face pendant featuring a pre-Columbian or Aztec, warrior or shaman with his tongue sticking out in a blood thirsty manner.

This gorgeous pendant measures about 5"¼ tall with bale by 2"⅝ and is built on a copper base.

The 26" long chain is formed of twisted metal links joined to each other by brass loops.

At the back of the copper face is the old mark of artist Diaz Santoya, the Crown with Cross and Mexico written beneath that.
