Condition report: poster is overall in worse condition, was stored folded, shows fold lines and some missing paper, also shows numerous tears and creasing especially to the edges, corners and in fold lines, paper is very thin on some places - possibly damaged by insects and storage
Historical context: rare and previously unrecorded beautiful Art Nouveau poster designed by artist Karel Simunek. He devoted himself to painting and illustration.
Karel Simunek excelled as a creator of posters, he designed about 130 of them, both at home and in Germany, where he was even awarded twice.
He also devoted himself to small graphics, e.g. exlibris. He was a member of the Syndicate of Czechoslovak Fine Artists and SVU Manes and attended numerous exhibitions in Prague, Brno and Pilsen.
He exhibited abroad, for example in Regensburg, Eisenstadt and other cities (Wiki).
