This is a very beautifully antique silver ring, NOT a modern reproduction pretending to be vintage, so often being sold as Vintage "style.
The ring with its solid silver setting, which is of an unknown grade of silver is exquisite, pure unadulterated Victorian - Deco the huge Emerald cut rectangular stone sitting on a raised band & being held in place by 4 sets of classic split claws, with gorgeous ornate shoulders.
The glorious large glittering palest sky blue aquamarine (maybe it is a Topaz or paste ?) is around 5 carats, with a single SILVER stamp to the inside. This has never been altered or repaired, & only lightly worn. The stone is eye clean, with no surface wear, & would class this as almost mint save a minute flea bite nick underneath the outer edge which does not touch the edge of the stone, & one or two as good as invisible scuffs to the base of the stone, I think because the base of the stone almost comes in contact with your finger
The stone has terrific refraction, looks astonishing when worn & is a true pale luminous sky blue rarely seen even in Topaz or Aquamarine, with none of the ugly deep tint so often seen in modern reproductions.
It stands 6.6mm off the finger, measures around 1.9mm (just over .5") side to side across the INSIDE of the shank, could be resized easily without damaging the ring, & the stone measures just over 1.5mm (.5") across the longest side by .8mm (.3").
A beautiful elegant heirloom ring. The box in the photos is NOT included, but will be shipped in a box.
I will happily accept a return if the ring is in any way unsuitable, but on condition that you contact me within 3 days of arrival, & will also accept payment via IBAN or bank transfer. Any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
