Motor Trader Service Data No. 470 / 470a BMC 1800 (Austin, Morris, Wolseley) / Bodywork Repair Data Original pullouts from 'Motor Trader' magazine dated 26 June 1968. Invaluable detailed and well-illustrated servicing and maintenance information, including sections on the Engine, Transmission (inc Differential Gear), Chassis and Recommended Lubricants. Plus Torque Wrench Settings, Special Tools, Chassis Data, General Data, Tune-up Data, Crankshaft and Connecting Rods, Pistons and Rings, Camshaft, Valves, Transmission Tolerances and Spring Data, Gearbox, Drive Shafts, Final Drive, Brakes, Front-end Service Data, Suspension, Steering Box, Lucas Equipment, Horns, Windshield Wiper & Sundry Items and Fill-up Data. Illustrations include exploded diagrams of parts of the Engine, Transmission, Steering and Suspension, Wiring Diagram, Draining Points and Maintenance Diagram. Consists of 8 stapled pages just over A4 size - approx 8.75" x 12" (220mm x 300mm). The Bodywork Repair Data Supplement (No 470a) consists of 4 pages, and describes Body Alignment and the Body Jig, with several helpful illustrations, plus an exploded view of Austin/Morris Body Parts in the centre pages. Plus Body Service Tools, Recommended Adhesives, Vertical Alignment Check and Horizontal Alignment Check. In very good+ condition, especially considering it's age (over 50 years). There are a few oily finger marks at the front and rear, and the staples have rusted, causing slight staining, but otherwise the pages are clean and unmarked. Has a horizontal foldmark. The supplement has a few light finger marks, and the horizontal foldmark. Please note that the absolute side edge and bottom edge are not shown in the photo as the pages are a few mm larger than my scanner.
