Here is a Royal Copenhagen Girl from Amager with Flowers, Overglaze Figurine Number 12412.

It is a rare and spectacular piece with exquisite overglaze painting and the Juliane Marie Mark.

The figurine was designed by the Danish sculptor Carl Martin-Hansen (1877-1941). It is part of his series of colorful overglaze Danish children figurines in traditional, regional dress holding flowers. These figurines are highly desirable and valuable. They are no longer made and hard to find.

This figurine shows a girl from Amager dressed traditionally and seated with a magnificent string of bright flowers which she holds up with her hands and which encircles the front of her dress. Amager is an island in eastern Denmark, whose northern part is included in the Copenhagen municipality. The overglaze painting is stunning, with its bright colors and intricate details. The girl's face is beautifully rendered by clearly a very talented painter. It is one of the larger Carl M. Hansen figurines in this series, with the greatest amount of the precious and delicate floral decorations, making it one of the most valuable in the series.

This figurine is factory first quality, made and hand painted in Denmark in 1968.

The figuring is in very good conditionOne of the delicate white flowers has chips to two of its petals. See photos 9, 10 and 11. I do not see any other apparent issues -- no other chips, or cracks, or repairs. I tried my best to carefully examine and photograph the figurine. This remains a vintage, pre-owned figurine made by hand, not mass produced. There may be some small normal variations / irregularities in the painting / glaze / firing. Please examine all the photos, they are part of the description.

The figurine measures approximately 5 1/2 inches tall.

Please examine the photos and description carefully and reach out with any questions!
