This is a Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted Full Lace Underplate / Serving Dish, Number 1/1062.

This is a hard-to-find, wonderful piece. The wavy, full lace border, and the basket weave patterning on plate's surface make it a very special and sought-after design. This piece is commonly used as an underplate for the 1061 full lace fruit bowl. The plate's surface is very flat, and It can be used as an underplate for other things. It makes a great serving dish for cake, and can also be beautifully hung and used for display.

The dish is factory first quality, made and hand painted in Denmark in 1958.

The plate measures approximately 10 inches in diameter.

Overall the plate is in very good used condition with no major damages or faults but with a few minor defects / issues --  there is an area with grinding on its back rim, shown in photos 9-12. I think there was probably a chip in that area and the porcelain was ground down to smooth over the chip. It is really only noticeable when looking at the bottom of the plate. The plate has a few discrete glaze irregularities from factory production -- unevenness along its pierced lace edge and an area with a glaze variance on its surface, see final detailed photos.

It is a wonderful piece that belongs in any blue fluted collection!
