Using the appropriate crimping tool for your contact type ensures maximum performance. Stamped and formed contacts are designed for crimp installation without the need for soldering. They are more cost effective than solid-barrels without sacrificing circuit reliability.
The IWC-1424A Open Barrel-Crimp Tool is designed to crimp non-insulated open-barrel terminals, also known as OEM terminals. It has five crimping stations that wind open barrel-terminal splices over wire and insulation, crimping them to terminals.
Crimps a wide variety of open-barrel contacts in the medium gauge wire range.
Crimp the conductor and insulation parts of the contacts in separate cavities. The tool must be closed twice to complete termination.
