I have no knowledge of the origins of this sugar bowl.  I assume it's Chinese.  The handles of the bowl and the lid are in the shape of a bamboo stalk.  The decoration features flowers and butterflies.  It's approximately 2.75" tall so it's a small bowl.  The raised enamel decoration is really quite beautiful and well done.

There is a small chip on the rim (you can see it in the photograph).  There is remnant of gold splash on the front (see photo).  There are a couple of chips on the inside of the lid.  The bowl itself has turned a darker shade of brown than the lid.  I cannot say why that is.
