A very rare book full of beautiful full page photographs (in high quality photo gravure technique)
of ancient Rome with it's wonderful statues, ruins, gardens, churches and rural areas in the 1920s.
The photographer Kurt Hielscher travelled through Italy in the 1920s and made over 4200 photos
w/ premier photo equipment; his Zeiss Ikon/Ica camera and Zeiss objectives on Agfa Chromo Isorapid and
Chromo Isolar plates and Isopan films
His book represents the best 110 photos of Rome out of 4200 from old Italy.
This precious book was not affordable by too many people at that time.
And there is no other book of that time which comes close to the printing quality of that title.
