Nude Couple - Man and Woman
Outdoor - Garden 1905

This extremely rare plate has been published in 1905 by a German sculptor in Leipzig, Germany.
The male nude was photographed by Gloeden's cousin, Wilhelm Plüschow

The original foreword of the 1905 portfolio from which this plate has been taken, says:
This work which is mainly for sculptors and painters, architects and artists of the arts and crafts, presents a series of the most beautiful Italian models, which present themselves here in their natural positions.

The artistic photo has been taken in a luxury italian garden, with a voigtlander lens on Perutz-Perorto Ortochromatic plate with Voigtländer Collinear, Series II and then reproduced by a dichromate-based photographic process invented by Alphonse Poitevin in 1856, which was used for large-volume mechanical printing before the introduction of cheaper offset lithography.
