SCARCE 1956 QUEEN ELIZABETH II NIGERIAN STATE VISIT COMMEMORATIVE TEA POT W/LID

For sale is a handsome teapot commemorative Queen Elizabeth's historic 1st visit to Nigeria in 1956 in which she stayed 20 days to the delight of her hosts. The teapot is in very good condition commensurate with age. It appears to have been only used for display, not to drink from. There is one small 2mm chip at the rear of the spout (close-up picture provided), otherwise it is in perfect shape. I have collected Queen Elizabeth II items since the 1970s and have not seen a tea pot or tea service from either of her Nigerian visits, so I would consider this quite rare.
