Installation instructions:
If you want to do this job properly, be sure to read the instructions...
The assembly is quite difficult, you need to be very patient and precise when working.
You will need someone to help you. It's difficult to do it yourself.
1. Clean the dismantled sensor board and the glass thoroughly to remove any remnants of the old washer. Clean the glass with a razor blade and degrease it. Try to remove the old washer from the sensor board by pressing it firmly with your thumb. Sometimes it's possible to roll it like this. If it doesn't work, use a heat gun, heat the jelly and try again.
2. Remove the protective foil from the pad first, which is more difficult to remove - the jelly is quite resistant to tearing, so you should not worry about damaging it. Pinch the jelly with the paper protection with your fingers and use the thumb of your other hand and a knife or flat screwdriver to pry and tear off the foil.
3. All glued elements should be coated with VHB primer before installation. The primer must not be dried. Wet joining of elements allows air bubbles to escape. If the primer is allowed to dry before application, the air bubbles close and cannot be corrected. VHB Primer can be applied to all elements with a clean finger, or with a rubber glove.
4. Place the VHB pad FIRST ON THE PLATE and press to remove air bubbles. Wait approx. 5 minutes.
Now tear off the protective paper and coat the VHB pad and the glass with primer.
5. Place the sensor plate on the glass; this operation should also be performed wet and press to remove air bubbles.
6. Now you will need a second person. Which you have to ask to heat the window. In the place of gluing the pad from the outside of the car. We can heat it with a hair dryer or a heat gun to speed up the setting of the VHB glue. Meanwhile, the person inside the car. Press lightly, approximately 1 kg. a plate with window gel. From the moment the glass warms up, it takes about 2 minutes.
Be careful not to overheat. Especially a heat gun. I know from experience that you can heat the glass so that it starts to steam slightly. And nothing happens to her. It is enough when it becomes warm. From the center. The person inside and holding the plate decides when this occurs, i.e. appropriate heating.
7. Leave to dry for approx. 45 minutes.
8. Everything is ready, you can assemble it and check its operation.
