The core of the volume is the 126-page chapter " 'Enough!' The Rose Revolution in the Republic of Georgia 2003" which appeared in an earlier form as a separate volume published by Nova Science Publishers, and parts of which appeared in the first issue, May 2004, of the journal Caucasus Context, also published by Nova. It is by Georgian novelist, literary scholar, and political commentator Zurab Karumidze and James V. Wertsch (anthropology, Washington U., Missouri), who present an early historical analysis of the revolution and events leading up to it. They embed interviews with major players, and articles analyzing the episode from different perspectives. Also in the volume are two revised 2008 reports of the US Congressional Research Service, and the article "Georgia after the Rose Revolution: Geopolitical Predicament and Implications for US Policy" by Svante E. Cornell (Central Asia-Caucasus Institute and Silk Road Studies Program). Annotation ©2009 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR ()
