This forged aluminum piece was made by Everlast, who started in 1932.  This Pea Pod Aluminum Bowl and Lid is estimated at 1940's era.  Hand forged, hammered, with decorative English Pea Pod and leave motif on the lid (the lid pull is a pea pod).  The edge of the lid is hammered, and the inside and outside of the bowl is hammered.

Our Hammered Aluminum bowl is stamped (etched) on the bottom with makers mark from Everlast, "forged aluminum" and "1038".

Made after World War I, with the thought that using lightweight metal was modern and futuristic, the next big thing after sterling silver poshness,... aluminum costing more than gold to mine.

Measurements:  6-3/4" wide (lip to lip) diameter x 4" tall (top of pea pod lid lifter)

Bottom outside of bowl is 4" wide diameter

Drop in the bowl is 2-1/2" to the brim
