Vintage 60cm Bates Brothers B.A.R. Cantiflex Road bike Frame with Daidrant Fork that I assume is from mid 1940s. Unique frame, made in London UK, Cantiflex was special tubing held different shapes at points, ahead of the times, plus the Diadrant that supplied some suspension, Iconic look, and raced by some back in the day. The Size is: Seat tube 58.5cm Center to Center or 60cm Center to Top with a 58cm center to center top tube. The Head tube is 182mm. The 1" Threaded Diadrant Fork has 96mm Spacing and the Frame Rear has 106m Rear Spacing. The wheel base appears to be about 41 1/2". Frame and Fork are Reynolds Steel 531 Tubing with Ornate Lugs. Frame takes British / BSA/ ISO Bottom Brackets an early inset race headset. The Serial # is U 107xx. Frame and Fork is used, bike was re enameled at some point, , I would say someone had it painted while using it more so than someone restoring it, possibly back to the source, paint looks old, has micro cracking like an antique bike would, paint is like what they would of used back the day, has scratches, nicks, & chips in the paint, some decal & finish loss, a cool survivor.
