Vintage 57cm Algurn Light Weight Specialists Track Bike Frame & Fork that I assume is from 1950s. Not many of these out there, Nice Survivor, Cool ornate lugs with purple paint and blue accents & pin striping, Good Chance this was built by H.E "Doc" Green as he built frames for Algurn. Doc was and early frame builder in London UK that got his start at Gillott along side colleague Ron Cooper. The Size is: Seat tube 55.5cm Center to Center or 57cm Center to Top with a 57cm center to center top tube. The Head tube is 142mm. The 1" Threaded Fork has 100mm Spacing and the Frame Rear has 110m Rear Spacing. The wheel base appears to be about 40 1/2". I suspect the Frame and Fork are Reynolds Steel 531 Tubing with Ornate Lugs. Frame takes British / BSA/ ISO Bottom Brackets. The Serial # is on the Rear drop out 465. Frame and Fork is used, Nice Color & original paint, has scratches, nicks ,& chips in the paint, the chromes in nice shape for its age, some decal & finish loss, but a pretty survivor. Plenty of Eye Candy Pictures to mull over. What's shown weighs a tad under 6 pounds.
