REGARDING ALL ITEMS:
PACKAGING:
All of my items, regardless
of format, are first wrapped in a plastic liner to protect against liquids,
then wrapped in cushioning material (that is, if appropriate for the item) to
protect against shocks, and finally placed in cardboard (or a cardboard box) to
protect against punctures and sharp objects.
SHIPPING:
Sorry for the inconvenience
in advance, but I add USPS Signature Confirmation to all U.S. orders over
$75. This extra service is at my
expense.
ISSUES: I am confident you
will be 100% happy with this sale.
However, none of us are perfect, so if you are unhappy in any way with
your product, please reach out to me BEFORE leaving negative or neutral feedback.
I will always try my best to correct any mistakes I might make!
REGARDING NON-VINYL
AUDIO MEDIA:
GRADING:
If you are new to collecting
audio media, please do a brief search on the internet and familiarize yourself
with the Goldmine grading system, since my goal is to conform to this
standard. From best to worst condition,
the grades I use are:
NM (Near Mint),
VG+ (Very Good Plus),
VG (Very Good),
G+ (Good Plus),
G (Good),
F (Fair),
P (Poor).
I do not use the Goldmine
grades Mint (M) or Excellent (EX, or VG++).
As you can probably already
tell from this list, "Good" and "Fair" are not as
"Good" or "Fair" as you may have expected!
As a personal preference,
the only non-vinyl audio media I grade NM (Near Mint) are SEALED items. Any item for which I see no defects I will
grade as my next grade down (VG+), and I go down the grading scale from there. For 78 records, I will conform to the VJM
standard, not Goldmine.
PLAY TESTING:
I may use the term
"100% successful playthrough." This phrase denotes that I have sat
and listened to the non-vinyl audio media in its entirety and heard no audio
issues that distract from the listening experience.
Please assume the item has
not been play tested unless explicitly stated. I sometimes may test isolated
sections , but this should not be construed as my having play tested the media
in its entirety, unless explicitly stated in my comments.
PACKAGING:
For unsealed CDs housed in a
standard jewel case, I will place a small piece of bubble wrap over the disc
before closing the case. This will help
minimize the chance of the CD coming loose from its hub during shipment. Likewise, for unsealed cassette tapes, I will
place small cardboard pieces in the reels to minimize jostling in the cassette
shell.
