The ignition coil is an
important ignition system that discharges electricity to the spark plug to
spark the air-fuel mixture filling the combustion chamber, starting the combustion
cycle.
★We have devised the"強化パーツ® = Reinforced parts" system that makes it
possible to install “Direct Ignition”, which is still only
available in some motorcycles due to manufacturer cost restrictions, into Honda's traditional
RFVC engine.
★This system eliminates the weaknesses of conventional ignition coil structures by directly transmitting the high-voltage ignition current generated by the integrated ignition coil to the spark plug to generate a spark. (Slow response in high rotation range, electrical leakage at connections, poor contact, generation of radio noise due to sparks, etc.)
As a result of
long-term operation tests installed on RFVC engines of various displacements,
including the XR250R (ME06/ME08) and JP specification XR250 (MD30) etc, we found that ignition
is very stable even with genuine standard spark plugs.
★Its performance is so excellent that it is always appropriate and stable regardless of the external environment. The reinforced direct ignition system further improves combustion efficiency for the best results.
◆Features of "強化パーツ® = Reinforced
parts"
1. Since there is no conventional plug
cord extending from the ignition coil, there is no distance from the
spark plug (that is, there is
no electrical resistance), minimizing voltage
loss.
2. Since it has fewer
parts than conventional ignition coil ASSY (IG body, plug cord, plug cap), it
is trouble-free, easy to maintain, and has a long life.
3. The dedicated wiring uses a heat-resistant oxygen-free copper cable (OFC cable) made of 99.96% or more high-purity copper that does not contain oxides. In other words,
it reduces voltage transmission loss with low resistance and low distortion.
4. In order to prevent
deterioration of the OFC cable due to the heat generated by the engine,
an integrally molded corrugated tube (flame-retardant
material) with excellent heat and
weather resistance without slits is used on the outside.
5. The direct ignition
unit and cable connections are completely waterproofed
with heat-resistant silicone resin to prevent short circuits
due to water intrusion and improve the durability
of the entire system.
6. Simply remove the existing
genuine ignition coil from the wire harness terminal and replace it with
the "強化パーツ® = Reinforced parts" direct ignition plug
cap, making it quick and easy to replace!
★As a result of
reinforcement the engine's combustion and ensuring the reliability of the
ignition system compared to the genuine ignition coil, not only starting
performance but also engine performance such as power and torque, and achieves
clean exhaust and fuel efficiency.
