"Fifty-three post towns of the Tokai-road Japan" is called "Tokaido Goju-san-tsugi" in Edo period,1603-1867.

The Tokaid-road was the main route for people in the Edo period to travel east and west through Japan.

"Miya"-town was the largest post station on the Tokai-do Road at that time, with a large town hall and 250 inns, and a population of 10,000. The place is now Atsuta-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture.
