Good news is I've tested the unit to work the volume works the brightness adjustment works and messing with it even allows you to see the screen even though the screen has taken some extensive damage. I was even able to play a little bit ok kirbys dreamland. More good news I would say is that compared to most other units of this type for sale on ebay the shell is in amazing shape a beautiful red, not faded, and the battery compartment is immaculate.

The bad news is its missing its battery cover and though start select a and b buttons are working solidly the d pad seemed to be iffy. That could also just be the games confusing controls and though i said i was able to play a bit of kirbys dream land the unit shut off after a few minutes. I believe this is just because of the missing battery cover because making sure the batteries were tight and switching it off and on again it turned on without issue.

This is a unit just waiting to be refurbished and re-purposed into a beast of a retro gaming machine and I'm including the 4 games that were found with the gameboy to sweeten the pot!
