The history of the appearance of Cyborg animals in Russia, Ukraine - prototype Battle Beasts Hasbro Takara.

From 1986 to 1987, the Japanese company Takara and the American company Hasbro released a series of 2-inch (about 5 cm) robotic animal figurines. these figures were called BeastFormers B in Japan and Battle Beasts in the US and Europe.

A few years later, their copies came to Russia and became prototypes for more than three dozen robotic animals produced by different manufacturers. only a few of them were more or less exact copies of Battle Beasts, among them the popular robot fox, robot giraffe, robot moose.

robotic animals (also robotic beasts, cooperative monsters) - a series of toys in the form of anthropomorphic animals in cybernetic armor, with arms and, sometimes, legs rotating in a vertical plane. These toys were popular in Russia in the 1990s.

In total, 9 copies of beastformers were known in Russia: shark, elk, bulldog, giraffe, fox, kangaroo, gorilla, sawnose shark and flying fish.

In addition, the design of another 22 figures borrowed design elements from Beastformers: Alligator, Lion, Condor, Hare, pig, elk FHI, horse, horse, goat, elephant, buffalo, shark, rhinoceros, wild boar, tiger, ram, bulldog, bear, 7 dinosaurs, walrus

finally, the rest of the figures known to us had their own designs: Rat, Ram, Wolf, King Kong, Rooster, Dove, Pelican, Owl, Raven, Turtle, Muskox, Frog

In Russia and Ukraine They appeared on sale in the early nineties and disappeared from sale by 1998.
