(2) The Whole Chili Pepper Book by Dave DeWitt and Nancy Gerlach, published by Little, Brown & Co. in 1990. First Edition. The authors document the chili pepper's history and lore and provide over 180 recipes, ranging from mild to throat scorching. Additional chili-related features include: a field guider with full-color photgraphs identifying 27 often-confused varieties; extensive gardening an preservation instructions, mail-order and seed sources; the latest health claims, and a special "Whole Chili Pepper Diet"
