Though Martin Luther King, Jr. is primarily remembered for his inspiring leadership of the Civil Rights movement, during the last few years of his life King expanded his work to include poverty and antiwar efforts. Utilizing archival photographs, film footage, diaries, letters, and interviews with fellow activists, this episode of PBS' AMERICAN EXPERIENCE chronicles the trajectory of King's personal transformations between the 1963 "I Have a Dream" speech and his tragic assassination five years later.
