This is a wonderful original animation cel drawing featuring an image of Oisin, Puck and Kobold from the popular CBS TV Special "Faeries" by Brian Froud. The piece was produced in the 1980's for the half-hour special which aired on CBS in 1981. The Animated TV special is based on a series of popular fantasy books that have their basis in Irish folklore. A young hunter Oisin is returning with his family from an unsuccessful hunt. He notices a fawn and strays away from his group. The fawn turns out to be a beautiful fairy, Princess Niamh, who asks him for help.
The piece is from the scene where Fir Darrig is serving pie to Oisin, Puck and Kobold in his parlor. You get the drawing of the characters from this scene. The scene has the 3 characters in the middle left of the paper. There is some production wear and a stain on the drawing with a re-in-forced peg hole at the bottom.
