TRINIDAD & TOBAGO - CARIBBEAN - CENTRAL BANK OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO - LATEST BANKNOTE ISSUE - Series 2020 - $50 Banknote on Polymer Plastic - Crisp and clean UNCIRCULATED CONDITION, as issued.

Catalogue reference:- Pick#New

The note is in Shades of Brown and Orange with some shimmering Gold ink plus Red, Blue and Grey on Polymer plastic. The note was issued under the Central Bank Act Chap.79:02 2020, so whilst it was dated 2020, it only entered general circulation on 15th February 2021.

The main image on the face of the note is the Arms of Trinidad and Tobago at the centre. At the left side is an image in a clear plastic window of a Masked Cardinal Bird (Paroaria nigrogenis), perching on a branch. This bird is a native species in Trinidad & Tobago. At the very top left of the note is a parallelogram shaped clear window that can be seen from the front and back of the note, within which is a ‘50’ in solid White print. There is also a well-hidden figure ‘50’ at the bottom left of the note in another parallelogram design feature, near the corner. At the far right on the face is a large figure ‘50’in Brown and Orange above which is the flag of Trinidad and Tobago in Red, with its Black diagonal stripe running top left to bottom right on a thin White background.

There are many other new additional Security features on this polymer note, which feels smoother than paper. Near the bottom right corner is a Circle design with 12 raised dot indents in a clock face format, these can be felt, so this is an aid to the partially sighted and the unsighted. Under a UV light some areas of the note appear to glow. Under magnification too, some areas that appear as plain print, are in fact seen to be very small letters and numbers.

The note has Serial Number AG760932 in Black vertically at the left side, reading downwards and it is also at the bottom right horizontally.

The signature of the then Governor of the Bank, Dr. Alvin Hilaire, who was appointed in December 2015 for a 5 year term (which was extended by 3 years in 2020 due to end in December 2023),  is in Mauve just above the right-hand Serial Number.

The reverse of the note shows an image of the Central Bank Tower building in Port of Spain at the left side, at the centre is an image of some Street carnival dancers in masquerade costumes. Steel Pans a type of Drum created in Trinidad nearly 100 years ago.

The note is sized 155 x 66mm. Printed by De La Rue of Basingstoke, England.

Note has seen no circulation - it is just as issued in crisp Uncirculated condition.

I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE COSTS ON MULTIPLE WINS _ PLEASE DO NOT PAY FOR ITEMS UNTIL YOU RECEIVE MY COMBINED POSTAGE INVOICE IF YOU ARE BIDDING ON MORE THAN ONE ITEM!

IMPORTANT - All my items are sent to the UK from my current location in Italy by Certificated Airmail for safety reasons, and INTERNATIONAL BUYERS, please note that any item or group of items which totals more than £30 will have to be sent by insured delivery for the safety and security of your item - there can be I am afraid no exceptions to this.

Please note that as a matter of course I do not now post to some countries where the postal system seems to be unreliable. Therefore those buyers from RUSSIA, CHINA, INDIA, BANGLADESH, PAKISTAN, INDONESIA, SAUDI ARABIA MEXICO & CHILE who wish to bid on my notes will have to contact me first and be aware that any items won will be sent by chargeable INSURED TRACKABLE postage. This is because at least 30% of items sent to buyers in these locations in the last few years for some reason do not arrive. The cost of insurance will add about £10 to the cost of the item.

I always combine postage and shipping on more than one item won.  If you think my postage and shipping charges are unreasonable then please contact me before you make a bid. For full details of shipping and postage costs to UK and other European destinations and all other addresses Worldwide, please refer to the Payment Instructions below:-

PAYMENT - Please pay through the eBay system using your preferred payment method.  In exceptional circumstances I may accept £, US$, € at current rates or a personal cheque drawn in £ on a UK registered Bank, please contact me first if you wish to pay this way.

Shipping/handling: UK and Europe: £2.49 for regular mail of up to 20 grams weight - normally about 10 banknotes in total,  (buyer’s risk, not recommended!) or £6.30 for registered/insured (Necessary for all items or groups of items with a value exceeding £30). Rest of World: £3.49 for regular mail of up to 20 grams weight - normally about 10 banknotes in total (buyer’s risk, not recommended) or £10.90 for registered mail (seller’s risk, necessary for all items or groups of items with a value exceeding £30). Multiple wins/items are batched and sent at no extra cost, unless weight is significantly higher, above 20 grams.

NB. Please do not pay until you receive my invoice, especially if you have won more than one item, as I always combine the postage packing and shipping costs, so that you save on postage. I do of course appreciate it if you pay quickly but I am sure you wouldn't want to be paying too much for postage. If you do overpay, I will usually refund you through the eBay system, before I send your item or items.

A note about feedback

I do not wait for you to leave Feedback for me, like some sellers do, so Transactions will receive positive feedback from me, soon after payment is made. I strive to earn 100% perfect 'five-star' scores from you, my customer. The star scores are very important because eBay uses them to determine the visibility of my items in search results. So before you leave your Feedback for me, if anything about the transaction did not meet your expectations, please let me know and at least give me the chance to put things right, before you may think about leaving negative Feedback or contacting eBay..

Always contact me first before contacting eBay or opening a case, I will always help, I will block bidders who open cases without contacting me first!

PLEASE NOTE ALL ITEMS ARE NOW MAILED FROM MY CURRENT LOCATION IN ITALY, posted the same day that payment is received or the next working day after payment, if made at the weekend. When I am in the UK, I may post from there. Some deliveries may take longer than normal to arrive, this is not my fault, merely the result of the RECENT problems since March 2020, experienced within the International Postal System.

Although now, even though the International Postal system is almost back to normal again, there still can be the odd delay to some destinations.
