Sigma 15-30mm f/3.5-4.5 EX DG Aspherical Lens
To be used for Sigma SA mount cameras such as SD1, SD14, SD1 Merrill, SD Quattro etc.
Excellent ultra-wide zoom lens, from the Sigma EX series (professional line), with very good build quality of metal and plastic.
I have tested and used the lens on the Sigma SD Quattro and SD14 and performs really well. Not as contrasty and sharp as the new Sigma ART lenses but very good fro sure.
The condition is near mint, with little signs of wear and super clean optics (NO fungus, haze, or scratches). Please check all photos and zoom in for details.
The integrated petal lens hood is made of metal and has a few superficial scratches that I probably made while attaching the "improvised lens cap", namely a lid from a Illy coffee tin that fits the lens quite well. (Found this trick somewhere on a forum).

It incorporates a hybrid aspherical lens in the front lens group to minimize distortion and astigmatism, and molded glass aspherical lens in the rear lens group to minimize spherical aberration. Minimizing distortion is a most important issue for zoom lens, but Sigma has succeeded, providing image quality with minimal distortion via aspherical lenses.This lens incorporates an internal focusing system, which eliminates front lens rotation. Since focusing does not change the 15-30's overall length, this lens is easy to hold and use. A petal-type hood is used to minimize glare.The lens also incorporates Dual-Focus (DF) mechanism. It is easy to hold the lens, since the focusing ring does not rotate during auto-focus."
