A small bronze medal measuring 26mm diameter with its original silk ribbon.

In excellent condition as images having light wear to the highlights whilst retaining a beautiful overall toned patina to the bronze.

Believed to have been issued by the Mayor of Durban to the next of kin of those soldiers lost in action, who enlisted at Durban.

There are also examples of this medal with a purple ribbon.
