It looks much like the LO-2B, but unlike it, there's no need to push a button to release or affix the top part. Instead, the ingenious design has a spring-loaded ball bearing on the male part that clicks into a routed slot inside the female end. This means that a quick tug pulls the microphone free, and a firm push re-seats it on the stand. It is secure, but allows smoother and easier movement.

Of course, I wouldn't recommend hanging your $10,000 vintage tube mic from it (I wouldn't recommend that with an LO-2B either!) but for stage use, it's great.

I've rarely come across these before. The price is for one M/F set, and at listing, several sets are available. These are new old stock, in their original packaging.
