Museum Quality 1946 FADA 711 Catalin “Dip Top” Tube Radio - Works
PRIVATE STOCK FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION!!!

for your consideration is a Museum
Quality 1946 Deco FADA 711 “Dip Top” Catalin Tube Radio that is unmolested and has been serviced and plays well.
This AA5 Butterscotch Radio is 10“x6“x5“ and has No Cracks or Chips.
The 711 was Fada’s last catalin radio.
The Gold Sunburst Dial is Awesome!
Only two things were done to this set in the 35+ years I’ve owned it: a new
clear dial cover from Mark Palmquest, and Paul Pontrello „Reflocked“ the grill
as all the original flocking had fallen off.
It is “TOTAL EYE CANDY”!
Knobs, handle, and rear cover are all original.
Tom’s Antique Radio and TV repaired the chassis
back in 2001 for me and it still plays well.
I could pick up at least 10 AM stations-loud and
clear from its internal antenna.
The pilot lamp lights up the dial and much of the cabinet for enjoyable
night listening and viewing.

As I trim my collection, I try to sell a variety of interesting, hard to find Radios, Amplifiers, Record Players, Vinyl, Stereo Receivers, Speakers, Telephones, Transistor Radios, Tube Hi Fi and Audio, Television, Amateur Radio and Communication Devices, Vacuum Tubes, Telegraphs, Gaming Equipment, Early Computers and Calculators.

I was the President of the New England Antique Radio Club and then the New England Vintage Electronics Club for six years. I stepped down at the end of 2018 to concentrate on finding new owners for the Vintage Electronics my son is not interested in.

The eBay concept of "free shipping" is one of the 3 biggest lies.
We are the best packers on eBay, and pack YOUR item the way we'd like to receive it-if it was being sent to us.
We take extra care in packaging, (Bubble wrap, foam pellets, proper boxes, etc.)(NOT the wadded up newspaper trick) There is a cost for doing this right.
Our goal is to get it to you in good shape, and for you to not have to file those fruitless shipping claims.
Let's face it, once it's broke, it's broke.
We have lost a significant amount of money in packaging costs over the past 25 years, and will continue to do so to get it to you in one piece.
