Owatrol Oil Paint Conditioner & Rust Inhibitor

• Owatrol Oil is a versatile, highly penetrating air drying oil that can be used alone or added to paint.
• Used alone it provides a tough, flexible finish, driving out excess moisture and air and displacing it from rusted metal, so stopping rust.
• Filling dry porous wood to stop paint peeling.
• Added to any oil or alkyd based coatings and it will give increased wet edge time, improved flowability, greater adhesion and unlike thinners, will maintain the inherent qualities of the paint without affecting its appearance and drying times.

• Seals wood, stone and other porous surfaces
• Polishes marble etc.
• Is an effective solution for rust, drives out moisture and air (food for rust)
• Heat resistance up to +175°C
• Leaves a tough flexible film in its place
• Add Owatrol Oil to subsequent coats for longer lasting & added protection.

Application:

• Ensure surface is clean, dry and free from oil, grease and scale
• Owatrol Oil can achieve better results on rusted surfaces because it uses the rust as a pigment to form a protective coating
• To make paint rust inhibiting, mix 25% Owatrol Oil, 75% paint
• To improve paint flow, mix 5-10 % Owatrol Oil with paint
• Coverage: 18m² per litre
• Drying time: 12 hours
• Recoating time: 24 - 48 hours
