when I obtained this beautiful piece, it wasn't working and was told it needed a simple watch battery - not true - i researched and discovered it needed a hard to find battery
I finally found it online and not cheap - Then the issue was how do you open it and replace the battery - more research and found it wasn't easy and I needed the instructions that someone posted online for a similar clock..
It was worth the effort - but if you see others online that say theirs is dead or just needs a watch battery beware !
