Please email with any questions. Vintage snapshot photo from Shirley Temple's trip to Hawaii in 1935. She and her parents spent weeks in Hawaii on a working vacation with plenty of photo-ops. Shirley is seen in this image wearing a US Army officer's cap and flower leis around her neck and is seated on a cannon at Schofield Barracks near Honolulu. Professional photographers were allowed close access to the little star, with their photos appearing in newspapers and periodicals. Some photographer was smart enough to see an opportunity and printed this photo from his original to sell to the public, eager for Shirley's image. She was a huge star and continues to enchant her fans to this day. The photo came from an album from an estate sale filled with snapshots from a trip to Hawaii in 1935. This is an original print of the original from the era. Some slight wear to corners.
