JILLIAN VO

Brought To You By One Of Ebay’s Founding Members

Whilst opening tubs of fabrics to sell, I came across some romantic pillows I created several years ago but never listed. I would much rather they were enjoyed by my customers, than re-packed, and transported to my new studio. The beautiful image for this one is of a Victorian Lady receiving a romantic card and gift, and is from a vintage 40s card that I printed onto fabric. I framed the image with two cotton quilting fabrics that feature roses. I’ve embellished with three vintage mother-of-pearl buttons, and a two-ribbon bow finished with a gold tone love-bird. I also added amazing antique 1920s lace to the corners, and finished with a full ruffle. The reverse side is a contemporary damask that has a small production fault, being one odd-colored thread that I didn’t notice until completion. Being on the back, it doesn’t detract and I’ve included pics. This pillow is filled with the best quality fiber fluff, and sewn closed. It measures approximately 14 ½” across by 14” high, with the ruffle adding another 1 ¾” all around. Because there is no separate insert, this pillow should be spot-cleaned only. Although made for Valentine’s Day, if you are a true romantic or love the Coquette aesthetic, this will display beautifully throughout the year. This is a one-of-a-kind creation that will not be repeated.

Please see my other listings for more romantic image pillows, vintage barkcloth pillows, and a selection of my hand-crafted sterling silver jewelry.

Sanctuary Sale

I will be listing many tubs of antique and vintage fabrics over the next few weeks/months. After most of our kids moved out, a major pivot in my life saw me moving from occasional animal rescues, to becoming involved in major TNR events, and full-time rescue/fostering/socializing of feral kittens and older cats. I decided I would be able to do so much more if I had a dedicated sanctuary, however I have no idea how to start or run a non-profit, so I’m funding this myself. We completed all our engineering and health department reports, and have an awesome contractor with plans ready to go, but just switching to Ramen isn’t going to make it happen, so I’m parting with vintage textile treasures collected over a life-time. Many of these fabrics are incredibly rare and impossible to find now. Please keep in mind, if you see a single panel listed, often there is a matching panel, or several, but in a different tub that I haven’t opened yet. I examine each piece thoroughly, and describe them to the best of my ability. My experience comes from a life-time of collecting and sewing, however I don’t claim to be an expert. Any error in my descriptions, or missed issues, are not intentional. Also, colors show differently between devices. I always find my phone has exaggerated colors compared to my computer monitor…please keep that in mind. Ask as many questions as you need to, so you are happy with your purchase. This collection has been my obsession for most of my life, but priorities change, so as I fund my sanctuary and we downsize to a smaller home and studio, you will benefit if vintage fabrics are your thing. I hope you find the textile treasures of your dreams, whilst I build the ultimate rescue/sanctuary of mine. Thank you for dropping by.

Welcome to JILLIAN VO…formerly Dont*Tell*Daddy*The*Price.

I am one of Ebay’s founding members, and for many years sold vintage fabric pillows, totes, and children’s clothing. I changed focus a few years ago, and am now a silver smith. I vend at a few select art shows, and also have my own jillianvo website, however I will continue to provide vintage and antique textile creations, along with some of my jewelry here for my Ebay customers. Thank you for taking the time to visit.
