  • A vividly recalled autobiographical record of growing up in poverty in inner Sydney Surry Hills between 1907 and 1916, after emigration rounding the Horn by sailing ship on the "Kosciosko". 
  • Written by the husband of Kylie Tennant, the famous Australian Writer.
