- A Gentle Shipwreck (Melbourne, 1975) contained Rodd's reminiscences of Surry Hills before World War I.
- With b/w drawings by Cedric Emanuel.
- A vividly recalled autobiographical
record of growing up in poverty in inner Sydney Surry Hills between
1907 and 1916, after emigration rounding the Horn by sailing ship on the "Kosciosko".
- Written by the husband of Kylie Tennant, the famous Australian Writer.
