This is a wonderful original old, framed oil painting on board, of a Cumbrian Landscape- entitled "Evening in Borrowdale" by Chas B. Dicken.
The painting depicts a dramatic countryside scene, with trees and a small hamlet/farm in the shadow of the majestic Lake District Mountain, Borrowdale. A very beautiful scene.
Fully signed by the British artist, "Chas.B.Dickens" bottom right. Due to the colour palette, and painterly technique, we estimate the date to be approx early 20th century, 1910-1930? The frame may be older- but if contemporary to painting, this is a vintage quality frame.
