Leather bound first edition of the first year of issue of Time's Telescope whose full title is above and which is a volume largely arranged by month detailing the various Saint's Days and Holidays,astronomical occurences for each month and a quite detailed naturalists's diary about what to expect from nature in each month.Each month has a woodcut at the head of the chapter engraved by Mr Clennell.xxxvi+370 pages plus a two page advert for the publisher's books.

Measures around 18 cm by 11 cm

First edition.Hardback.Leather binding with gilt borders to the front and rear panel,gilt decoration to the spine.Marbled endpapers.The gilt titles are faded and almost illegible but state Time's Telescope Vol 1.1814.Small chip to the leather at the right side of the head of the spine and just over 1cm in depth at the base of the spine.Boards generally scuffed at the edges.Front hinge cracked but just holding.Rear hinge slightly cracked and holding firm.The text block itself is solidly bound.Page edges age or dust darkened.Internally clean and bright with slight foxing.There are no ownership markings.

Overall in Fair condition.
