River Section 534 was a unit of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. It was part of the Navy's River Patrol Force, which operated in the inland waterways of South Vietnam, particularly in the Mekong Delta region.

River Section 534 was responsible for conducting patrols and maintaining security along the rivers and canals of the Mekong Delta. These waterways were vital for transportation and commerce in the region, making them strategic targets for both the Viet Cong insurgents and North Vietnamese forces.

The primary mission of River Section 534, like other units of the River Patrol Force, was to interdict enemy supply lines, prevent infiltration, and provide support to friendly forces operating in the area.
