This is a Shigaraki ware tea caddy.
The author is Naokata Ueda.
It is a shoulder shaped teapot with a traditional lid.
There is no need to replace the gold leaf on the back of the lid yet.
Although it has the unique stone grain of Shigaraki ware, it does not feel harsh when held in the hand, and is gentle to the touch. I don't think the ware looks bad, and I think it captures the scenery well.
It has a sense of volume, and I think it would be easy to match with large tea parties or large shelves.
There are two marks attached to it, and the inscriptions are Sasa vine danko'' and Chrysanthemum dragon phoenix crest.''
The cover doesn't look tired, and there are no noticeable tears or fraying, so there is no problem even if you use it for a formal occasion.
The size of the tea caddy itself is approximately 7.4cm in maximum diameter, approximately 9.5cm in height with the lid closed, and approximately 3.5cm in diameter.The accessories are included in the box.
The main body is in good condition with no noticeable scratches or dirt, and can be used for everything from everyday lessons to formal tea parties.
