Powers on, I can hear radio stations but there is a loud humming noise that makes the radio stations really quiet.

I assume that a full service on the unit will fix the issue.

The battery compartment had a significant amount of corrosion, and I got most of it out. But I did not test the unit using the battery terminal, only the power cord.
