Passend zur Veröffentlichung der neuen Stockfisch-SACD "Closer to the Music Vol.6“ bringen wir jetzt auch die nächste „Stockfisch Vinyl Collection“ heraus: „Vol.4“ enthält 10 Titel von unseren Produktionen der letzten Jahre - natürlich keine Stücke, die sich auf der "Closer to the Music Vol.6“-SACD befinden. Die Direct-Metal-Master für diese Schallplatte haben wir wieder auf der studioeigenen NEUMANN VMS82 geschnitten.

Die folgenden Künstler stellen wir auf der „Stockfisch Vinyl Collection Vol.4“ vor:

BRIAN FLANAGAN, der irische Komponist und Sänger mit der wunderschönen Stimme. Er singt sein von der Schönheit der irischen Landschaft inspiriertes Lied „The Painter“. Sehr verwandt im Timbre seiner Stimme und in der Art, seine Songs zu gestalten, ist der neue Stockfisch-Artist aus London: STEVE FOLK. Mit heller Stimme transportiert der Liedermacher Einfühlungsvermögen - Wehmut und warmherziger Charme mischen sich. Obwohl schon Jahrzehnte aktiv, war REG MEUROSS für Stockfisch eine Neuentdeckung: ein Folk-Sänger der englischen Schule, dessen Lieder und Melodien den Hörer in eine "warme Zufriedenheit" versetzen. Auf diesem Sampler vertreten mit seinem Song „England Green & England Grey“ - eine Synthese aus Folk und Sozialkritik. Zu den Neuvorstellungen gehört auch IAN SMITH aus Keadue im irischen Donegal, mehr als 30 Jahre im Musik-Business und „on the road“. Ian Smith ist weniger ein irischer Folkie, als vielmehr Storyteller par excellence.

Neben den bereits bekannten "Stockfischen" KATJA WERKER, STEVE STRAUSS, DAVID ROTH, PAUL STEPHENSON und RANAGRI gibt es aber auch eine besondere Überraschung: In den 80ern war sie für ein CD-Mastering im Stockfisch Studio. 2022 kam sie zu einer beeindruckenden Recording-Session zurück: ANNE CLARK, die Stilikone der elektronischen Musik und europäischen New-Wave-Bewegung, geht bei Stockfisch Records ganz neue, unerwartete Wege: Die international erfolgreiche Sängerin nahm ein rein akustisches Album (Violine und Konzertharfe) mit gesprochen Gedichten auf. Daraus beschließt das Stück „How To Become Unbroken“ die B-Seite der „Stockfisch Vinyl Collection Vol.4“.
