This first comprehensive monograph of Genesis Belanger brings together a wide selection of the artist's discreet objects and staged tableaux, alongside essays by Leigh Arnold, PhD, Curator at the Nasher Sculpture Center (Dallas, Texas) and Eric Troncy, Curator and co-director of the Consortium Museum (Dijon, France). Foreword by Amy Smith-Stewart, chief curator of the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum (Ridgefield, Connecticut).

Belanger’s practice at large is centered on the creation of sculptural installations that perform narratives about gender and power. Her psychologically charged mise-en-scènes are composed of idiosyncratic versions of everyday objects, made in a multitude of materials.
