It comprises of faceted stones with dark metal petals.
This. is one of their rare designs and I’ve not seen another like it.
Handcrafted in the USA with the best of materials.
Even the back is beautifully constructed and signed ‘Vendome'
Note:Vendôme was formed in the 1940s as a subsidiary of Coro, the American costume jewellery manufacturer. The Vendôme line of jewellery was pitched at the high end of the costume jewellery market and was Coro's most expensive line. Vendôme jewellery was designed to emulate French fashions of the time and was marketed to elite ladies. The company was known to use the best materials and the components were hand assembled. They became very popular in the 1960’s largly due to the beautiful desings by Helen Marion, their principal designer. They used the best of imported rhinestones from Europe The clarity and brilliance of the stones and top quality metalwork combined in artistically expressive designs were the main factors behind the jewellery’s success. The jewellery is highly collectible and should continue to RISE in price. They closed in 1979.
