This book is an altogether different approach to the Epistle to the Romans. It is seen and explained from a Hebrew Christian standpoint. No doctrine is evaded, no verse is overlooked, no important word is disregarded. Every tense, mood, and voice of the necessary Greek words are carefully examined and explained. It is not an anthology of various commentaries, but a fresh approach to this very important book of the Bible.

"The whole tone and tenor of this exposition will refresh and reinvigorate the faith of everyone who reads it. Such an emphasis is placed on the absolute Lordship of Christ and the Sovereignty of God, as it should be. I have never read and never expect to read a greater, more exhaustive commentary on the book of Romans. This is not only an exposition of a book, this is a panorama of Jewish history through the ages. The writer's comments on Romans 9, 10 and 11 will make you think! . . . `These three chapters are not a parenthesis (as many great scholars agree). They are pivotal. The whole Epistle to the Romans revolves around these three chapters.' . . . To our knowledge no expositor has explained Romans 11 as lucidly. as logically and as cogently as Dr. Mills. Many arresting phrases like the following are to be found all through this book. `God uses our tears in this life to mix the mortar for the stairs leading to Eternity. Do you know what true Scriptural separation is? If you don't, you will before you finish this book." DR. DAVID OTIS FULLER

Dr. Mills gives special emphasis to the specific development of relationships of Jews and Gentiles in the light of the Gospel of Christ. Because of his Jewish background, he brings out points of Jewish understanding from this Epistle in much the same way that Edersheim illuminated the book of Matthew in his Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah. The result of Dr. Mills' research is a perceptive study which reveals with grace and understanding the intent of the great Apostle when he wrote the Epistle to the Romans. Dr. 'Mills; exhibits a keen rapport with the Apostle Paul, who himself was a rabbinically educated Jew.
