Condition: The USED set of stamps is in excellent condition and has no stains or smears. The stamps retain their full gum and have not been hinged.
Background To Issue: In January 1964, Sidney Nolan travelled with writer and fellow Australian Alan Moorehead to Antarctica. At a time of restricted travel to Antarctica, they flew with a US naval supply party to McMurdo base, via Christchurch, and spent eight days at the US stations.
