Vintage Hallicrafters S-40B Receiver. The item is not working. Dial String is broke. Item fires up and dial lights come on. No loud objectionable hum but no signals received either. At one point while manipulating the band switch I thought I hit a sweet spot and heard brief reception but not being able to tune I was unable to confirm. I did no work on this, being sold the way it came with other gear I obtained from an estate. The CORE OF THE ITEM LOOKS TO BE COMPLETE. There is some surface rust, chipped and broken knobs. etc. I make no guarantees sold for parts or restoration. Ships at 30 pounds.
